It's not a tantrum

It’s essentially civil disobedience, and I gave some very valid reasons why I’m stubbornly refusing to be in the opera. 1. I've never been to an opera. I listened to a fair number as a student, but I don't like live stage musicals either. I'm simply not a fan of the theatre, despite loving films about theatre. Vanya on 42nd Street is genius, and I might add the Company film is actually a film of a recording session. 2. It’s an artform for the rich by the rich, and they want me to provide ‘balance’ - that’s a bullshit reason to be cast in anything, and it completely negates my express desire to be a studio artist. They treated me like shit back in 2020, and that’s also a totally valid reason to refuse. I was offering back then, while now that door is shut. - This isn’t autism - well, possibly, but that's never been diagnosed. It’s a simple, plain no. And Luke should get over himself. Not me, Luke Di Somma and Cass should get over themselves and their fancy Master’s degrees when my punk attitude is clearly the new thing. - It is NOT the answer to when I get depressed in winter. That’s just basic friendship and people genuinely spending time with me as a human, not me as a musician. - You’d be lucky to get me to appear live in concert, but the answer for all stage offers is no. I don’t want to be part of your world, and forcing me would only piss me off. I do not want to behave like you lot: that’s what my satire is all about - how badly behaved my peers are. 👍 It is a NO. And seriously you all have to respect my decision. NEVER. All you’ll ever get is anger, so I absolutely refuse. It is a NO. And I am beyond insulted at this ‘be chloe’ thing - it cheapens my relationship and is actually wrong. NEVER. You can’t make me, and if you try I might end up dead. That’s not a joke. – I am serious. You have had SO LONG to persuade me, and the ANSWER IS NO. NO opera. No stage work. NO. I am just saying no: I have the right to decide what I do with MY career. - No to Sunday - you people pissed me off too much with this bullshit. The answer is no, and y’all better accept Amy’s no. I might cast B for the movie - Rose's song was written for her. I refuse to make the Weeded Out show. Your shitty notes ruined a year of my life. Two years, really. SO the answer is NO.
