Mental practice

That's what that 02 December 2023 video is about. That's a tip that Inbal Meggido mentioned when I was a student, which was that science says that mental practice activates the same parts of the brain as physically playing one's instrument.

I'm a big believer in that, and I think Gould used a similar method too. However, that's like an advanced element: ultimately there's a certain amount of hand-eye (and blind) coordination that is also essential to a developing musician. Jane taught me to play with my eyes closed, though I started doing that when I was a teenager. 🎸 - Yes, I double-checked: that's totally authentic and real science. 👋
