I forgot my notebook, so hopefully I can find something to write with, It's nice weather, so I shot some videos to cartoonify. _ Headlines: Gary's petition wasn't presented today. 🕸️ The Groceries Industry Competition Bill has been introduced. Luxon: trying to make a meal out of ram raids. My quip: Ah, so this is the Nat Version of 'personal is political' ... or, at least 'taking the political personally!' Infrastructure Acceleration Fund. - Healthy Homes Standards: two questions were asked about this. One by Chlöe that seemed to me like an excuse to plug the Greens WOF policy ... one thing that struck me about Dr Woods response was she was spruiking a stat which included landlords intending or 'taking steps' to fix homes who hadn't necessarily done anything yet. That felt like sneaky statistics from Labour. A second by Brooke Van Velden regarding extending time-frames for private landlords that prompted a quip from Gary about landlords: "15% recidivism rate: what does that sound like!?" - During one question about school attendance, the Nats chiming in were so loud that two MP's held a sidebar during the jeering. If I read the seating chart correctly, that was Chris Penk and Simon O'Connor. 🕸️ - Question 10: made me yawn, Similar vein to Question 2 with National's 'tough on crime' politics becoming their watchcry. - Postscript: During our sesh afterwards, Gary said he was annoyed by Labour's policy of only taking the easiest parts of policy ideas from other parties. Apparently Dakta is brewing up a road trip for Election Year. 🕸️
