It was pretty stupid, but it had some good laughs. I haven't watched a Disney film or any of those comic book movies for ages.
I saw the new Dr. Strange last year, but that's about it. As for the meta-commentary: I'd point out that I have made the characters in Shipwrecked gayer as a result of the way that people threw a hissy fit about that draft that I published during 2022.
As I said on a tape, though, that's more to do with shifting expectations of what people expect from a musical (ie that musicals are for gay people, which is a lazy stereotype) rather than any inherent qualities that were intrinsic to the idea of student radicals going on a protest road trip.
Plus they hated the violence. I think that's just pussies who forget that Braindead, Meet The Feebles and two decades of 48Hours has primed the NZ film audience for that kind of a violent masala film.

As for my Weeded Out script: as I said, the people who thought they were the characters (despite having never spoken to me) and fucking pissed me off with their litigous attitude wasn't about diversity.
I thought that script had a good balance of woke vs. old-fashioned, but I do feel like I pandered and that's why I'm refusing to make any more alterations.
Never going to agree to using the EP songs. Never going to agree to letting people rewrite, unless I get paid. That's being fair and holding them over a barrel for treating me like garbage and presuming they knew better, much like those recent scripts regarding the election turned out to be winners after I'd filmed and voiced them, despite some harsh criticism regarding the Press Hui script (which was essentially the same script that the skit eventually became).
That's fair; if the NZFC was genuinely interested, then they should have forked out for script development money, but instead people are too afraid to even write to me. Everyone thought they were going to get paid, but forgot to pay me. That's a fair summary. My legal rights to my copyright should be respected, particularly from people who were/are hoping to cash in on those copyrights.👋
Let's recap the various protests that I'm doing: 1) I attend Parliament to remind them to legalise weed and treat trans people better. There aren't any trans MP's, so that's a way of transing the space. 2) I refuse to set foot on the VUW campus for any reason. That's after they jerked me around about the Carmen book and attempted to STEAL my script. Yes, STEAL. The reason I have said no to them is that I do not want to work with students given they cannot accept me as trans. That's the truth, so NZSM and VUW are shit out of luck and can accept that I will NOT help them and they should apologise if they want me to.
That's…
