Woke up on the couch in an off-the-grid farmhouse. Wonderful breakfast: poached eggs. There's trips to be had. Dakta's ok. There was less blood in his catheter, which is apparently good. He's got a huge TV. Rendered some footage and had a pork belly slice for lunch. $7 from the local café. - It's cool to see Doug's place. He'd been round to ours when we had the house in Wellington. Ran the first half of sultry at speed for Michael Stoop. It went ok. It feels like a compound. Dakta lives at a nearby motel in a bungalow. - Gary and Dakta discussed their bucket list of places that they're planning to visit next year. Formula 1 is one. Ozora festival is another. Dakta is following the Trump indictment, which fascinated me. It's huge news, but I stopped following US politics after he won in 2016. - I got permission to film Dakta and Gary, though they're somewhat reluctant about it. It's a very sombre occasion. I turned down an acid trip to experiment with rendering videos. This feels slightly manufactured -- it's not as organic as the previous Weeded Out episodes.

My defence: everyone thinks they're 'the one' my songs are for. I'm telling the truth when I say I pick a different person for basically every song. I'm also generous with giving credit where credit is due, like with Aidan and the song lyrics, though I haven't adjusted that with APRA yet. When the Dakumentary is complete, I'll do a credits roll. Plus I'll be able to fix the titles soon. I occasionally try to have my cake and eat it and target several people during one song, but that's more the exception than the rule.
